“ Hulu Skewer House has both hot pot and meat skewers that you cook at the table. It's an all you can eat situation so you can order as many items as your heart desires! Apparently Hulu also has karaoke, but I do not know where it is located within the restaurant and didn't hear it at all while I was there. The menu is fairly typical of hot pot and KBBQ spots with a lot of different meats, vegetables, and sides you can order. They also have a substantial sauce station with egg rolls and fried wontons, so you can dip before heading back to your table. The quality of all of the items was great, the meat was very well sliced and had great flavor both on the skewers and in the soup. I did notice that some of the items I ordered like radish and baby bok choy never came to my table, but the veggies that did come were very tasty. Although my partner judged me, I ordered the scallion oil noodles which they call "main dish," but it's really more of an appetizer size. It was super good, very well balanced and comparable to what I have ordered at non-hot pot Chinese restaurants in the area. If you do go and order the skewers, the cook times a little wonky. You really have to keep an eye on them because they will burn! I ordered short ribs and put them in the basket to cook, and burned the crap out of them so they were barely edible :/. To cook the skewers, you place them at a certain angle so they rotate, but they can easily fall off track and then take longer to cook. The staff was great at coming around to refill the baskets with water but doing so also slows down the process because they have to turn it off and move the skewers and basket each time to do so. Overall, the food quality is great for the price. I would come back, and maybe get more hot pot items and be more selective about my skewers. ”
“ After reading some of the reviews on here, I think it bears saying: Hulu is a typical hot pot place with skewers -- that means raw food you cook in broth, raw skewers you cook at the table, and all you can eat at a fixed price. This is the norm for hot pot and Korean bbq: if you're not expecting to have to wait for the food to cook at your table, there's a really good pizzeria down the street that's probably more your speed. The hot pot was honestly some of the better I've had. All of the meats were well sliced and very fresh -- and they had some great different items. Try the black beef tripe, it's an unique taste and burst! The vegetables and greens that my partner forced me to ear were also fresh and good, but who wants vegetables?! More sliced lamb, please. The skewers are an unique addition to hot pot. Your table has a little rotisserie on it, and you roast the skewers here. They take some time, and the roaster only fits 5 skewers, or 10 with the basket removed. (I think. I didn't count). I don't think you could eat just skewers for dinner -- it's too few and too slow -- but as an addition to hot pot, it's different and fun. The rotisserie does run low on water frequently, though. The skewers themselves were kinda hit or miss. Some were delicious, some weren't, but I think that's a matter of personal taste. The rotisserie also serves as a grill for some small meats, shellfish, etc. We got some sparerib slices. A word of warning: they go from raw to cooked slowly, but cooked to charcoal quickly! it's almost done, almost done, and it's burnt. A very different hot pot experience with the skewers. It's a little out of the way for me, but I would definitely try it again of I'm in the area. ”
“ huluskewers has AYCE Hotpot & Skewers with KARAOKE?!? YES PLEASE! The best way to spend these summer nights with friends ”
“ A friend recommend this fun hot pot spot that also had skewers. They had a huge variety of items ranging from snow crab legs, to oysters, to lamb skewers. The quality was pretty good and it was fun to be able to switch between bites of hotpot and freshly cooked skewers. Would definitely recommend this spot! ”
“ My wife and I, plus the baby, had an awesome dinner here. The price was $35, pretax, for an adult AYCE; and the price for a baby under the age of 4 is free! I thought the price was reasonable for the variety one can get. On the skewer/grill side, we tried so many different skewers! The ones that stood out were: chicken knee, beef rib, beef tongue, garlic oyster, garlic mussels, lamb, and chicken heart. The meat came out juicy and tender! The flavors were excellent as well. On the hot pot side, I thought the quality of the sliced meats were great. The veggies were pretty fresh. Finally, with most AYCE places, service tend to be slow (especially if the place is full). We went when the restaurant was almost full and Hulu delivered in terms of service though! The staffs were hospitable and quick on their feet. The servings also came out in reasonable amount of time. Hulu is a great place for family! p.s. the only downside is that the restaurant definitely feels hot after the grill and hotpot is on full power. I think management should consider lowering the temperature and increasing the fan speed! ”
“ Hulu Skewer House has transitioned from an à la carte menu to an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) format, and it's a game changer. The AYCE option also includes hot pot, which is a nice touch while you wait for your skewers to cook. The interior is nice and new, and they even have karaoke in a separate room for parties. I think you have to book that in advance but not entirely sure about that. In classic AYCE fashion, there's a well-stocked sauce bar, and you can conveniently order everything on your phone. The service was also fast and helpful. The steak skewers were a hit with my party, but there are plenty of other great options to try. ”
“ This restaurant introduced hot pot earlier this year. Current lunch special is AYCE hot pot and skewers for $35. The meats are quality and you have over 5 skewers to choose from. Some speciality items include snow crab legs, scallops and hot chili wontons. These items are usually add ons at other restaurants and sometimes cost a lot more. My friends got the Tom Yum and I got the pork broths. Broths were rich in flavor and we ordered multiple rounds of the skewers. I love the high ceilings and how the dining tables are set up. You get a grilling station in the middle that is constantly moving. Each diner gets their own hot pot and the seats were really comfy. The sauce stations are covered and there are plenty of instructions on how to make your favorite sauces. Save room for the vanilla ice cream as well. Service here was on point. I feel like we had +3 servers at all times. You order on your phone and food comes out really quickly. You can't go any where in the area to get quality meats and hot pot at value. Fun place to try different types of seafood, meats and vegetables. ”
